Arctic Star grab samples up to 15 g/T Au, 21.24% Cu, and 17.7% Zn at El Havila Property, Colombia
Arctic Star Exploration Corp. (TSXv:ADD) (the “Company” or “Arctic Star”) is pleased to report remaining assay results from initial sampling of the El Havila property (the “property”), located near Frontino, Colombia.
In total 68 samples were taken as a first pass evaluation site visit. These samples consisted of grab samples from the most sulphide rich outcrop and float, limited channel samples and grab samples taken in a geographical spread over the entire altered breccias zone visited. The assays results show that 77% of the samples report over 0.1 g/t Au, and 68% of the samples reported over 0.3 g/t Au. Table 1 lists those samples that ran over 0.5 g/t. The best result remains sample C15 returning 15 g/T Au, 21.24% Cu, and 17.7% Zn (Au: gold, Cu: copper, Zn: zinc). Gold analyses were determined by Fire Assay of a 50 gram sample with Atomic Absorption (AA) finish (AcmeLabs +G6-10 method).
ICP Mass Spec analysis also conducted on grab samples, indicate the mineralised system includes: Au, Ag, Cu, Zn, Te, Re, Cd, Mo, and Bi. Silver, tellurium, and rhenium are elevated in some samples. Given the possible economic importance of some of these elements, the Company plans neutron activation analysis, which is more quantitative and repeatable. Ultratrace ICP Mass Spec analysis of 30 g subsample after Aqua Regia digestion was the analytical method used (AcmeLabs 1F06).

Arctic Star is encouraged by the results, even though these were mainly grab samples, they were taken semi-systematically over the entire mineralised area visited, about 240m by 120m in extent. The mineralisation is hosted in an altered silicified breccia, and its full extend is not yet known. Within this breccia there are veins and pods of higher sulphide concentrations and these are over-represented in this sampling exercise.
The company will conduct a more systematic sampling and mapping exercise to commence prior to month end. Airborne geophysics is also being planned to help map the occurrence where it does not outcrop.
Kevin R. Kivi, P.Geo. supervised sampling and mapping of El Havila Property, implemented chain of custody and sample security protocols, and is responsible for technical information provided in this news release. Assays are provided by Acme Analytical Laboratories (Vancouver) Ltd, Vancouver, BC, which is an ISO/IEC 17025:2005 accredited lab by Standards Council of Canada.

Forward Looking Statements
This press release contains projections and forward-looking information that involve various risks and uncertainties regarding future events such as: (a)to more accurately determine the presence of rhenium; (b) the likelihood that the property has gold or other commercial mineralization; and (c) the work program to be conducted by Arctic. Such forward-looking information can include statements based on current expectations involving a number of risks and uncertainties and are not guarantees of future performance of Arctic such as our ability to raise financing, geological information resulting in changed plans for exploration, our ability to contract equipment and labor, current economic conditions and the state of mineral exploration and mineral prices in general. In addition, despite encouraging results, there may be no commercially viable mineralization on the property. These risks and uncertainties could cause actual results and Arctic’s plans and objectives to differ materially from those expressed in the forward-looking information. These and all subsequent written and oral forward-looking information are based on estimates and opinions of management on the dates they are made and expressly qualified in their entirety by this notice. Except as required by law, Arctic assumes no obligation to update forward-looking information should circumstances or management’s estimates or opinions change.
Neither the TSX Venture Exchange nor its Regulation Services Provider (as that term is defined in the policies of the TSX Venture Exchange) accepts responsibility for the adequacy or accuracy of this release.
